Youth Basketball 11u Rules

11u Boys and 11u Girls

 

All CIF Rules will apply other than the revised rules below.

1.       A team may start a game with four (4) players.

2.       If the team is not ready to play at the schedule game time, the game will be forfeited.

3.       Teams will play four (4) quarters of ten (10) minute quarters using a running clock.

4.       Halftime will be (2) minutes.

5.       Two (2) timeouts per half. One full min (1) timeout and One 30 sec (1) timeout per half.

6.       Running clock except for time outs and emergencies.

7.       The last two (2) minutes of the game shall be regulation clock, if the margin of difference in the score is ten (10) points or less.

8.       The bonus rule shall be in effect on the seventh (7th) team personal foul of each half. One (1) Shot will be given and two (2) points if made.

9.       In the event of a tie score at the end of regulation play, there will be Overtime an 2 minute running clock, both teams will get (1) timeout each NO other timeouts will carry over, if then still tied, the game will end in a tie. If championship game OT will be 5 minutes running clock.

10.   When bringing in the ball, each team has ten (10) seconds to cross half court. If the team fails to do so, the other team will receive possession and take it out of bounds.

11.   Inbounding the ball five (5) seconds.

12.   Teams may press in 2nd and 4th quarters, only if the score is within ten (10) points or less. Losing team may press in the 2nd & 4th quarter if down by 10.

13.    Shirts must be tucked in shorts on hips. Failure to do so may result in Delay of Game penalty.

14.   Each player allowed five (5) personal fouls for the entire game. You will be limited to three (3) fouls the 1st half, after your 3rd foul you will be removed for the remainder of the 1st half.

15.   Coaches are responsible for playing every player. Substitutions are allowed during dead ball situations.

16.   On a Two (2) point foul, player will shoot one (1) free throw and two (2) points if made. On a three (3) point foul, player will shoot one (1) free throw and three (3) points if made.

17.   A player who is fouled while shooting and makes the basket will be awarded three (3) points. In the attempt of shooting a three (3) pointer and is fouled but makes the basket, then the player will receive four (4) points.

18.   Players must attend 50% of Practices per week to be eligible to play 50% of the time of Scheduled games. Failure to do so may result in less time played.

19.   In the event of a tie in the standings, would be determined by head to head and points allowed.

20.   Three (3) way tie in the standings.
